What does “AI-enhanced clarification” mean?
Free tier uses our rules-based clarifier — it detects missing slots and asks template-based follow-up questions. Pro tier upgrades this with AI: the clarification engine uses an LLM (Claude) to generate context-specific follow-up questions tailored to your exact question. This dramatically improves prompt quality by understanding what’s truly missing.
What is document grounding / “Source grounding”?
Upload your own PDFs, Word docs, or text files. RioAsk chunks and embeds them, then grounds your compiled prompts exclusively in your documents. Three modes: “Any sources” (default), “Cite sources” (references your docs), and “Use only my sources” (strict — no external knowledge). Critical for legal, compliance, and enterprise use cases.
What is cross-model verification?
Teams feature: send your compiled prompt to 2+ LLM providers simultaneously (e.g. Claude + GPT-4 + Gemini). RioAsk compares the responses, generates an agreement score, and flags contradictions with a detailed disagreement report. Essential for high-stakes decisions.
What is the watermark on free outputs?
Free tier outputs include a small “Generated via RioAsk” text at the bottom. Pro users get clean, watermark-free exports.
What is quality scoring?
Every Pro+ compilation receives a deterministic quality score across 4 dimensions: Specificity, Completeness, Structure, and Anti-Hallucination. You get an overall letter grade (A+ to F) and per-dimension breakdown — no LLM involved, fully reproducible.
What happens when I upgrade mid-cycle?
You get immediate access to the new plan. Stripe prorates the charge based on your remaining billing period.
Do you offer discounts for students or nonprofits?
Yes! Students and nonprofits get 50% off Pro plans. Contact us with a valid student ID or nonprofit registration. Teams discounts (up to 30%) are available for qualifying organizations.
What is founders pricing?
The first 200 users who sign up for Pro get a discounted rate ($9/mo) locked in for 12 months. After 200 slots or 12 months, the price moves to the standard rate. Founders pricing is available on Pro only.

Yes. We do not train any models on your prompts or documents. Your data is stored encrypted and you can delete your account and all data at any time. Enterprise plans include configurable data retention controls and full audit logging.
